Hello, weekend! As the workweek takes a breather, the weekend has picked up the pace with an agenda filled to the brim with markets, pop-ups, art exhibitions and more. While some may be knee-deep in last-minute Chinese New Year prep, others could be looking forward to a couple days of staying in and winding down. Yet, we know there is more than a few of you who are ready to get out on the town for some fun and you can count on the #BUROWeekendGuide to point you in the right direction. Pasar Seloka’s ever-popular Raya series is returning and it’s all starting with its Kenduri chapter in the heart of KL. The pop-up not only serves as a space for local brands to shine but also a hub for its community to gather and connect with each other. Also on the agenda for this weekend is Markas’ Museum of Mini Exchanges, where you can bring a memento to display and swap with other attendees.

2. TREAT YOURSELF TO SOME LAKESIDE SHOPPING AT MAA.KET

Where: Boathouse by the Lake, Ampang

Price: Free entry

Fancy some scenic shopping? Then bring yourself to Boathouse by the Lake for Maa.ket, where your retail therapy comes with views to match. On the roster are curated thrift and vintage merchants, local brands, preloved apparel from artists and influencers, as well as collectibles and crafts. There will also be a slew of food and beverage partners on-site to keep you fed and hydrated, plus live DJ sets for your entertainment.

3. RUMMAGE THROUGH CLOTHES RACKS AT VINTAGE & THRIFT IN APW BANGSAR

Vintage & Thrift is back with yet another market at APW Bangsar, featuring pre-loved pieces and more. On the racks, you’ll find a range of clothing looking for a second home as well as collectibles or memorabilia to add to your collections.

4. EXPLORE FRIENDSHIP AND UNSPOKEN DIALOGUES AT ‘WORDS I NEVER GOT TO SAY’

When: From now until 15 February 2026 | Saturday and Sunday only | 10am to 5pm

Where: Temu House

Fay Ulrica and Hannah Bhatt have been friends since they were teenagers. Now, they can call each other co-curators too with ‘Words I Never Got to Say’. The exhibition explores emotional expression and unspoken thoughts through the pieces, starting with Ulrica’s words that take sculpture form courtesy of Bhatt. The two show how empathy and vulnerability are crucial in understanding each other no matter how far apart they may be literally and figuratively.

5. RUN, DON’T WALK TO SHUREN PROJECTS’ LAST MINUTE POP-UP: 2026 EDITION

Last Minute Pop Up by Shuren Projects features a carefully curated selection of apparel and goods from local makers. For clothing, you can browse collections from Futuremade Studio, Good Times, Against Lab, and MOONANDBEAM. Those looking to bring home some new homeware or even trading cards will be most pleased to see SAD Studio and TCG Lah also in attendance at the pop-up.

6. STOP BY PUCKS COFFEE’S FRIENDS BEHIND THE BAR VOL. 36 FEAT. ONE HALF COFFEE ROASTERY

Quirktopia is a special graduation art bazaar, led by 15 graduating designers from Dasein Academy of Art. Somewhere in between a marketplace and a bazaar, the event is a showcase of the habits, flaws, talents, and quirks that shape us.
