This weekend, we’re sending May off with a bang and welcoming June with open arms! It’s a long weekend, so, as expected, the schedule is looking loaded with exciting events happening all over town. Price: RM5 per adult | Free for children aged below 12 and senior citizens aged 60 and above | tickets to be purchased at the door only

If you’ve got a pet at home that you’re unapologetically obsessed with, then this is your calling. Pet Expo Malaysia is back at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre this weekend, packed with all sorts of goodies for you and your furkid to swoon over. From pet accessories and food to training services and wellness products, there will be tons to browse through. Pick up some necessities, treat yourself (read: your pet) to some new accessories, and get to know some leading brands. On top of all the shopping, there will also be competitions, activities, and more on the agenda, so remember: it’s a marathon, not a sprint!

2. BASK IN THE RAYS AT LEX’S PATIO PANTRY’S ‘HOT DOG BBQ WEEKEND’

We don’t doubt that the heat has been getting everyone down this week, so why not beat it with a barbecue? 4. EMBRACE STILLNESS AT ‘QUIET RESONANCE: BETWEEN WORLDS AND WHISPERS’

Where: Dominic Art Club | Restaurant Dominic

The launch of Dominic Art Club was the talk of the town back in April and it has since welcomed a new exhibition in collaboration with Arto Movement. Titled ‘Quiet Resonance: Between Worlds and Whispers’, this collection features work by Lim Ai Li, Sun Jin Xin, Khairani Ahmad, and Hidayah Ali. The pieces the themes of stillness and memory, while also diving deep into the connections between inner and outer worlds.

5. DISCOVER YOUR NEW FAVOURITE ARTISTS AT THE COMIC ART FESTIVAL 2025

When: 31 May to 1 June 2025 

Where: Fahrenheit 88

Price: RM15 per ticket (valid for both days)

Almost 300 artists are descending upon Fahrenheit 88 for this year’s Comic Art Festival ready to showcase their stunning works and creativity. Over the two days, you can check out a variety of works, speak to the artists, attend talks, try your hand at creating comics, and more. Names you might recognise on the roster include Keluang Man Club, Capybars, AlterEgo Studio, Bichi Mao, and Circus Town. There will be much to conquer, so planning is key!

6. PARTY WITH PASTA AT BASE’S SUN-BRUNCH-DAY FEATURING COFFEEBOY RECORDS
