While you keep an eye out for our Christmas 2024 content, we’re still making sure you stay in the loop with all the exciting events around KL & PJ—with some holiday cheer sprinkled everywhere. Chinatown is transforming into a massive get-together of the creative arts, music, food, and more this weekend with the arrival of the inaugural KL Chinatown Festival. The three-day agenda comprises an array of classes, live performances, culture walks, food hunts, demonstrations, and more. From a coffee sensory workshop by Pucks Coffee and a jazz quartet performance to an extreme food challenge and a letterpress printing experience, there’s truly something for everyone at the festival—we mean it. Lastly, you will also get to experience the best of Malaysia’s best Chinese musical talents and other exciting activities with Connor’s.

Sentul Depot will be transforming into a high-energy festival space this weekend with Hennessy Artistry 2024! Headlining this year’s lineup is South Korean icon Gray, who is also responsible for some of our favourite tracks. Joining him will be Dato’ Maw, Ashley Lau, and more. Motherchuckers will also be on-side with pickleball challenges and exclusive collab merch for you to take home. Plus, you’ll be well taken care of on the food and drinks front with a strong roster of local restaurants and bars, such as Donut Plan, Amazonas, PS150, as well as Louie’s Bar.

5. BRING YOUR FESTIVE CHEER TO SUNNY SIDE UP MARKET, CHRISTMAS EDITION

Find all your favourite local artisans, makers, and labels at Sunny Side Up Market’s Christmas pop-up this weekend. You’ll find everything you need from accessories and home decor to food and pet products. Saturday’s agenda also includes a Christmas floral hairpin making workshop, while Sunday visitors can take part in a punch needle Christmas tree decorating session. Not to mention, the event is pet-friendly so bring along your furkids for your festive shopping spree!

6. WELCOME DECEMBER AT FARI & ALI’S SUNDAY FARMER’S MARKET

When: 1 December 2024 | 10am to 3pm

Where: Fari & Ali’s Kitchen, Bukit Damansara

Price: Free entry

If you’re in the Bukit Damansara neighbourhood this weekend, pop by Fari & Ali’s Sunday Farmer’s Market for some family fun. There will be bites and sips for everyone to enjoy with great company. Plus, there will be some kid-friendly activities such as face painting to keep them occupied while you’re there. Meanwhile, the grown-ups can shop for some homemade granola, handmade jewellery, oils, soaps, and more.

7. DISH ON DUMPLINGS WITH GYOZA FOR LIFE’S POP-UP AT SPACEGREY

The dumpling experts at Gyoza for Life are back with another pop-up and this time, they’re infusing Italian flavours into their creations. Happening at Spacegrey, the pop-up will include both set and a la carte menus to cater to all appetites. The former comprises four courses, including its pop-up special, gyoza ravioli. Also on the menu is a special fried bread dessert, served with cultured cream.
