It’s hard to decide which activity was more fun, driving BMW X SUVs through off-road obstacles or sliding MINI Coopers on a gravelly course trying to set the best time. BMW and MINI 4S dealership Wheelcorp Premium has the honour of owning and operating the first ever premium driving circuit in the country, and for the brand in the entire region.
For xDrive all-wheel drive equipped BMW SUVs, the perimeter of the circuit features the usual suspects: water wading, uneven bunkers, side slopes, a hill climb to show off the hill-hold automatic braking and hill descent control. The strangest sensation comes from the uneven terrain, known as elephant steps, where at least one wheel is just dangling off the ground.
In the middle of the circuit, a gymkhana-style course complete with low tyre walls and cones had been laid out for the compact car crew, namely the MINI 3-door, MINI 5-door and BMW 1-series. Despite the stability control on these cars staying firm active—for safety’s sake—there was much fun to be had nudging the tail out in corners.
As part of the opening celebration of the circuit, Wheelcorp Premium will be hosting a Weekend Sales event alongside various driving experiences (registration required via +6011 1782 5060 ) at the showroom this weekend (September 23-25, 2016). With every purchase of a new BMW or MINI vehicle, customers will receive 12 months of complimentary fuel from Shell Malaysia
