Everything you need to know about Marquee, Singapore’s largest nightclub

Yes, we’re not kidding. From bars to speakeasies to clubs, Singapore’s nightlife scene is no doubt vibrant. From the innovative drinks to the aesthetics of the space, most of them are clearly eager to please. Marquee Singapore, on the other hand, is ready to stand out.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s because it’s the same brand by leading restaurant and nightlife company Tao Group from the US. First launched in 2003, Marquee New York is one of the longest-running nightclubs in the Big Apple and remains one of the most popular. It has since expanded to Las Vegas and Sydney, and have all featured residencies of world-class DJs and artists such as Armin van Buuren, DJ Khaled and David Guetta.

So what can you expect from Marquee Singapore, which will be taking up residence at Marina Bay Sands? Well, with three floors spanning over 2,300 square metres and dramatically high ceilings that soar 30 metres—a lot. For starters, a fully-operational eight-armed Ferris wheel. Guests will be able to have an unparalleled view of the nightclub and snap unique photos that would make them the envy of their Instagram followers.

There will also be a three-storey high slide to add on to the carnivalesque atmosphere. To cater to the amazing music talents they’ll bring in, it will feature a state-of-the-art Funktion One DJ console and sound system.

More will be revealed at its grand debut on April 12 where the Marquee Nightclub will open with a red carpet event and a stellar lineup of internationally-acclaimed DJs.

The Tao Group, however, isn’t new in Asia—or specifically, Singapore. They took their first step with Lavo Singapore which was launched in January 2018. And they’re not just stopping with Marquee Nightclub this year. A speakeasy-style lounge called Avenue will open in May while a whole new dining concept called Koma, a Japanese eatery and sushi bar will be launched within 2019 as well.
