1. Savour a range of culinary experiences throughout GastroMonth 2023

To celebrate Kuala Lumpur and Penang’s growing gastronomic scene that has recently earned Michelin recognition, FunNow Malaysia invites gourmands to indulge in exclusive dining experiences as part of the first ever GastroMonth 2023. Taking place for the whole month of June, the month-long event features 45 participating restaurants ranging from one Michelin star to Bib Gourmand and Michelin-selected. Each establishment will offer special menus and food experiences curated specially for this culinary celebration.

2. Dive into French culture at Le French Festival 2023

When: 25 May – 11 June (Kuala Lumpur)

Whether you’re a French based in Malaysia or someone who enjoys learning about other cultures in general, there’s no better time to immerse in French culture than during Le French Festival. Now in its 21st edition, LeFF 2023 explores three facets of French culture through its diverse programme. Among the activities in the lineup include 18 French films premiering at select GSC cinemas, musical performances, workshops, and dining experiences.

The KL International Book Fair is back for its 40th edition and bookworms can look forward to four floors filled with countless titles! From children books and comics to novels and #BookTok recommendations, there’s an extensive collection of Malay, English and Mandarin books ready to be given a new home. Visitors can also expect a host of events and activities held throughout the fair, with this weekend seeing a cosplay competition, Batman show, and open performances in store.

The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) welcomes Disney fans and concert lovers alike on ‘A Magical Adventure’ presented by Birdian Saxophone Quartet. The concert will feature the largest flute ensemble in Malaysia, CGFA Flute Choir, with 30 flutists under the baton of Sze Gee Chew. The choir has rehearsed for the past nine months to bring you timeless classics such as the award-winning ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’ from Pinocchio, the iconic ‘Mickey Mouse March’ theme song, as well as recent hits from Mulan, Aladdin, and Moana, just to name a few.

Celebrate feminine energy with your best gal pals at what could be one of KL’s hottest events this Saturday! Presented by Good Night KL, Cherry Bomb promises to be an explosive electronic music experience with an all-female lineup including Aidaho, Jovynn, Ashley Lau, BB Bulan and Mia on the decks. They will be serving tunes that range from deep, dark techno basslines to uplifting house music melodies and every sweet spot in-between.
