Coldplay recently broke a YouTube record for most single-day lyric video views with their track—or technically The Chainsmokers did, as their surprise collaborative track with the British alt-rock outfit ‘Something Just Like This‘ garnered over 9 million views in its first 24 hours of availability on YouTube. It now stands at 41 million views.
But there is a possibility that the record might be broken again soon, by Coldplay themselves that is. Yesterday, they unveiled the lyric video for a brand new track ‘Hypnotised’, along with the following announcement:
“Hello everyone. We’ve got a new EP coming for you on June 2. It’s called the Kaleidoscope EP and it has five songs.
1. All I Can Think About Is You
2. Something Just Like This
3. Miracles 2
4. A L I E N S
5. Hypnotised
Here’s a new non-single song from the EP called Hypnotised with a film made by Mary Wigmore. We hope you enjoy it.
Love cm.“
Coldplay originally announced Kaleidoscope last November via Twitter. Now that you have a definitive date to look forward to, it’s time to kick off your weekend right—sit back and enjoy this captivating lyric video for ‘Hypnotised’:
