7 Things you can do this weekend: 9-10 April 2016

1. Body Combat with Fitness First at Avenue K, 8am – 9am, Sat

Didn’t manage to register for Nike Run KL? Fret not because there’s another fitness event happening on Saturday morning and it’s free. Fitness First is organising a Body Combat session at AK Rooftop in Avenue K.

Register your name and phone number via private message on their Facebook page.

2. Publika Gallery Walk, 2pm, Sat

Housing around 10 galleries, the city’s artsy mall has decided to organise a gallery walk to discover the local talents and their gorgeous artworks. There will also be talks, meet and greet with the artists as well as light refreshments.

The event is free but registration is required. To book a spot or for more information, send an email to [email protected].

3. THISCOVER Weekend at TREC KL, 4pm – 10pm, Sun

Discover some of KL’s best street culture at THISCOVER Weekend where art meets music meets flea market. There will be performances by popular local acts such as Kyoto Protocol, Youth Portal, Juno and Hanna, a KL street photography exhibit, various vendors selling items ranging from health-conscious snacks to rare streetwear, and even a guest appearance by one of Malaysia’s motorcycle clubs!

4. Pet Fiesta 2016 at Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC), 11am – 9pm, Fri – Sun

The largest Indoor and Outdoor Pet Exhibition in Malaysia is happening this weekend and there are tons of activities for you and your pets to enjoy. Enter them in shows or contests, learn some new training tips, or perhaps check out the Buffet for the Furkids and Petting Zoo. It’s also a great time to check out some awesome deals for your pet supplies.

5. Update your WhatsApp to enable encryption

Have you heard? WhatsApp has enabled end-to-end encryption and what that means is no one, not even WhatsApp employees, will be able to read your messages or rather, data.

6. Watch how a silkscreen painting workshop looks like

And then you might just want to enrol for the next class and start making your own silkscreen designs and products.

7. Win a decadent high-tea session at Buro 24/7 x SK-II Mother’s Day High Tea event

It’s a mother-daughter only event and what better gift for your mother than a high-tea session at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel and two bottles of exclusive SK-II Spring Butterfly Limited Edition Facial Treatment Essence (worth RM1240 in total).
