1. Enjoy an exclusive Roger Vivier Afternoon Tea set at Lounge on the Park, Mandarin Oriental, 2.30pm – 6pm, until 30 June 2016

Inspired by the Parisian luxury Maison, Roger Vivier’s latest Spring/Summer 2016 collection, the exclusive Afternoon Tea set is both a stylish and delicious display. 2. Yoga for Running at The Fox Den, Damansara Kim, 3pm – 4pm, every Saturday in June 2016

While it really is a great session for runners, the class is also useful for those who don’t plan to run competitively as it’s the perfect cross training to balance strength and flexibility of your body while helping to relieve sore and tensed muscles from overuse. The class will be led by Cynthia Wong who teaches regularly at Organica Lifestyle

3. From Pen to Paper 3.0 stationery market at Battery Acid Club, Damansara Utama, 11am – 6pm, 4 – 5 June

If you have a penchant for stationery and supporting the local scene, you’ll find everything you’ve been looking for (and more) here. Featuring vendors such as Mossery, Tabiyo Shop, Homu Store, B’Nottee, Obsolete & Co. as well as live demonstrations, you may very well find some new stationery haunts and hobbies.

4. KL Alternative Bookfest (KLAB 2016) + Art For Grabs at Publika, 11am – 7pm, 4 – 5 June

It’s a double bazaar for double the fun with appearances from more than a handful of Malaysian indie publishers, local craft vendors and food stalls. There will also be panel talks, forums, performances and film screenings.

5. Malaysian Makers Market at The Bee, Publika, 12pm – 6pm, 5 June 

You may or may not know that Malaysia has some pretty impressive artisans with quality and amazing products – and you can discover some of them at this market. From homewares to leather goods to terrariums, pop by to have a look. Local musicians like Darren Teh from An Honest Mistake and Isaac Ho will also be there to play a couple of acoustic sets.

6. Create an art piece for a chance to be featured in Red Bull’s #EhWauBulan art exhibition

Calling all aspiring Malaysian artists, this is your chance to showcase your talent as Red Bull is looking for submissions of original work that depict your artistic journey, your aspirations for the future and/or inspirations in life. To commemorate the nation’s 59th year of independence, 59 artists will be selected by a distinguished panel of experts led by street artist Fritilldea, contemporary artist Ivan Lam and National Visual Arts Development Board trustee and artist Phillip Wong for the two-week exhibition titled #EhWauBulan in August.

7. Visit the newly opened RI Maison by Rizalman Ibrahim

Malaysian fashion designer Rizalman Ibrahim has extended his already impressive portfolio of creative endeavours with the opening of RI Maison, an interior store that features curated items sourced from around the world as well as products designed and produced by Rizalman himself – all carrying that signature opulent minimalism and plush elegance. Oozing in European decor aesthetics, there is a wide range of products, ranging from soft furnishings to tableware to furniture.

RI Maison is located at 24 Jalan Padang Walter Grenier, Off Jalan Imbi Kuala Lumpur and opens daily from 10am to 7pm.
