Studies have shown that a 30-minute workout, which combines strength training and cardio, will definitely aid in shedding pounds. Time is hard to come by for working professionals and spending time on health and fitness seems to fall lower on our priority list when we get busy. That is why we have compiled 3 workout videos that are sure to work up a sweat and give you the wonderful adrenaline that comes with a satisfying workout session. Because when it comes to working out, doing something is always better than doing nothing. 


1. Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred: Level 1

What you need: Light weights and a yoga mat

This workout by renowned fitness guru, Jillian Michaels, starts out slow and picks up the pace at the 5 minute mark. Moving between strength training and cardio, this workout will really challenge your stamina. For beginners, there is a model in a background you can follow before you work up the strength the move on to the more difficult level. It is recommended to do the Level 1 workout for 10 days before moving on to Level 2 and 3 for another 10 days each.


2. Fitness Blender’s Calorie Blasting Cardio Training

What you need: A yoga mat

Technically 32 minutes, this workout uses your body weight to give you the best of strength training and cardio. Getting all the way to the end is quite difficult and you will find yourself dripping with sweat by them time you hit the 15 minute mark. The best part of this video is that you can play your favourite workout music in the background as you follow the routine in the video. 

 

3. Popsugar Fitness’ Dance Cardio Workout 

What you need: A pair of good trainers

If you’re looking for a little bit of fun while you workout, this video is perfect for you. This video starts at a fast pace and it will take a little bit of practice to get the moves right. But lucky for us, it is on YouTube so we can keep replaying the hard parts. However, there really isn’t any need to get the moves right as long as you keep moving your body and have fun, you are sure to work up a sweat with this video.
