Where to eat for Mother’s Day 2016 in KL

While we should celebrate our mothers every day, it doesn’t mean we can’t go all out on a certain date in May. (Because if we were to splurge on them daily, they’ll surely disapprove.) After all, if you’re looking for something special for her, this is the best chance as restaurants would craft special menus limited to the occasion and offer extra goodies for Mummy dearest. We’ve rounded up some of the special Mother’s Day menus below!

Ploy’s exclusive Mother’s Day menu, 7th and 8th May

Ploy Mother Day menu - My mum is the bomb

Already a restaurant that serves its own unique style of Japa-Thai cuisine, Ploy has created a special 4-course menu of all-new dishes that will only be available for Mother’s Day. Enjoy a delectable start with Unagi Tacos and Ploy Miang Kham as snacks before they serve the appetiser, which is a choice between the refreshing Sliced Tuna with Green Mango and the nourishing Chicken Paitan Soup. We definitely recommend the latter, which is a herbal soup made with exotic black chicken and salted bamboo—unless Mum is a huge fan of sashimi.

For the main, you can choose between the Pan Seared Grouper (which is served in a red onion cream dashi/broth) and the Kochujang Crispy Chicken (think Korean fried chicken-style). To end the meal is the dessert named ‘My Mom is the Bomb!’ which will certainly delight everyone at the table. A chocolate bomb filled with hidden treasures, the real fun begins when the chef or waiter pours warm fudge on top to unfold its delicious contents.
