Luckily, KL and PJ are home to a ton of spots that cater to both you and your pet’s needs (or appetites). To help in your hunt for the best hangouts that welcome your pets, we’ve rounded up some of our favourites around the area that check all the right boxes. Located in Arcoris Mont Kiara, Basic Wine Store is the perfect spot to unwind with friends and furry companions over a selection of European small plates and a glass of fine wine. Don’t forget to take a peep at its daily specials board while there too! 2. Lex’s Patio Pantry

Lex’s Patio Pantry is more than just a neighbourhood grocer. With an alfresco dining area, you can soak up the sunshine and get your daily dose of vitamin D with a fresh brew in hand plus your pup by your side. The menu rotates through local favourites and other irresistible bites, including homemade prawn mee and sandwiches. 4. Round Pizza Napoletana

Specialising in authentic Neapolitan-style pies, Round Pizza Napoletana is a haven for pizza lovers and their furry companions. Bringing a true taste of Naples to the heart of Petaling Jaya, this spot serves up blistered crusts and premium imported Italian ingredients. The Hungry Tapir is your plant-based paradise in the heart of Chinatown, filled with all sorts of foodie options that will satisfy your appetites. Its menu spans all sorts of local treats and global favourites made plant-based, including nasi lemak and laksa. Other crowd favourites include the Pink Bombshell burger and spicy tempeh fingers. Pets are welcome, especially in its breezy outdoor patio, where you can lounge with them and an ice-cold cocktail by your side.

Nestled in Mont Kiara, Slow Wood Coffee is one of the few pet-friendly cafés in the neighbourhood that invites you and your furry friend to unwind and treat yourself. There’s the Honey Buzz, a fun twist on espresso with osmanthus syrup, oat milk foam, topped with a real honeycomb, or go for the refreshing Strawberry Garden matcha latte if you’re in the mood for something refreshing. Their bagels are just as tasty with flavours from spring onion, chocolate, and matcha to choose from. If you and your pet prefer a cooler setting, limited indoor tables with air-conditioning offer an escape from the heat. Lilian’s Cake House is a charming escape tucked beside Slow Wood Coffee that transports you to a retro Parisian bistro. 9. Kopenhagen Coffee

Kopenhagen Coffee is where the Scandi way of life takes charge. Kamé Kafé is Bukit Jalil’s latest  Japanese-inspired pet-friendly café, which blends traditional flavours with minimalist interiors—perfect for those seeking a taste of Japan without the long flight. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, don’t miss their fruit sandos, generously filled with freshly whipped cream and juicy fruits. For a more traditional Japanese treat, try the dango, glazed in sweet soy sauce or coated with fragrant kinako (roasted soybean powder). Prefer something savoury?
