#BuroEats: 5 New places to visit in KL for June 2018

1. Grain.

Serving Malaysian cuisine with a different approach, Grain. is where you can go for comfort food with a cosy ambience. And when we say ‘different’, we mean ‘different’. For example, the Salt and Pepper Prawn with Blueberries combo definitely came as a surprise, but in a good way.

Address: 17-1, Jalan PJU 8/5D, Damansara Perdana

Opening hours: 10am – 10pm (Mon – Sat)

Phone number: 017 370 8325

2. Decadent by Four Seasons

Four Seasons KL is opening really soon but in the meantime, there is its accompanying shopping mall The Shoppes at Four Seasons Place. We’ve covered the Robinsons area there (and what’s exclusive about it) and now we want to tip you off on the food hall in the basement—especially if you have a sweet tooth. Decadent by Four Seasons is a dessert bar (and cafe) through and through, offering handcrafted sweets such as pastries, cakes, macarons, bonbons and gelati.

Address: Basement 1, Shoppes at Four Seasons Place

Opening hours: 10am – 10pm

3. Kenny Hills Bakers Desa Park

Everyone knows the name and now, there are two of them. Kenny Hills Bakers has expanded to Desa ParkCity and this outlet is opened all day, comes with a hot kitchen and a bigger space. Thus, you can expect more dishes and a rather satisfying dinner menu (the duck confit and waffle has our hearts).

Address: GF-06, The Waterfront, Desa ParkCity

Opening hours: 8am – 10pm

4. Prana Alchemy

If you’ve been looking for good Turkish-style coffees in KL, Prana Alchemy has a list of them. Helmed by the co-owner of Seraph Awaken and housed in a distinguishable rustic-themed shop (complete with wooden accents and potted plants), it’s not much of an Instagram corner but your tastebuds would certainly be excited. For something a little more out of the ordinary, try the Golden Phoenix—cold-drip coffee with ice cubes infused with honey and orange juice, and topped with calamansi lime.

Address: 433, Jalan PJS 10/9, Bandar Sunway, 46150 Petaling Jaya

Opening hours: 12pm – 8pm (closed on Tuesdays)

Phone number: 018 208 6860

5. La Fleur x Uniqorn

unicorn themed cafe subang

Warning: Potential overload of pinkness. A unicorn-themed cafe has opened in Subang and unless you’re a fan of such things, proceed with caution. The entire interior is dipped in different shades of pastel pink and littered with unicorn plush toys. Oh, and there’s a bathtub ball pit too. On the menu, you can find waffles, egglets, pancakes, homemade ice cream and coffee. For the first time ever, you can taste Uniqorn Sh*t. Another unique feature of the cafe is that the waitress will let you pour your own latte art (after a quick demonstration, of course)—or don’t if you hope to take an Instagram-worthy shot (unless you’re already trained in the art).

Address: E1-01, Sunway Geo Avenue, 47500 Subang Jaya

Opening hours: 10am – 1am

Phone number: 011 1179 6750
