1. Beauty In The Pot, The Gardens Mall
Starting off the list with hotpot? Iconic. Beauty In The Pot's second outlet in Malaysia, with a space than spans over 7,000 square feet, is now officially boiling! The 280-seater branch boasts an interior design that's different from the rest. Expect a pink princess theme inspired by the cherry blossoms that arrive every early spring. What should you try? Essentially, everything. You have the choice of six soup bases here, including the Signature Beauty Collagen Broth (Scallop and Pork Broth soup), the Signature Spicy Nourishing Soup (Pork Bone), Herbal Drunken Chicken Broth, Cooling Coconut Broth, Longevity Wild Mushroom Broth (vegetarian), and Vitamin C Tomato Sweet Corn Broth. Some of the must-try items are Fish Tofu (made with yellowtail fish, soya bean, and egg white) and Ebiko Prawn Paste shaped out of 100 percent prawn meat.

2. Don't Yell At Me, Mont Kiara
If anyone's yelling at you, it's probably a friendly nudge to give this new tea parlour a go! Don't Yell At Me aims to be the spot for everyone to take a break (and find their heart again) in the midst of chasing dreams. The first branch opened in Johor and now, the Kuala Lumpur store has also begun brewing. Shades of grey adorn the interiors with soft wavy decorations on the ceiling—as if to symbolise calm and serenity. A large mirror amplifies the size of the cafe and a minimalist grey bamboo forest walkway acts as the perfect Instagram spot. Go for the classic Brown Sugar Milk Tea or try specialties such as Osmanthus Chrysanthemum, Honey Puer Milk Tea, Osmanthus Latte, and Rose Chocolate Milk. It's also toppings galore here with four options available: Kanten Jelly, Sweet Potato and Taro Balls, White Jade Pearl, and Brown Sugar Pearl.

3. RokuNana Washu Bar, Jalan Dutamas
It has the largest variety of sake in the city! Did they get your attention yet? With an objective to heighten awareness of the drinking culture of the Japanese, RokuNana Washu Bar also offers a myriad of alcohol made in Japan. The food menu isn't extensive but they are worthy of your time and attention. Try their Assorted Japanese Pickles, Amera Tomato, Fried Baby Fugu with hollandaise sauce, Wagyu Steak served with barrio salt and braised shiitake, as well as the Wagyu Don that comes with caviar, tamago, and Chinese kale. With yakitori being an essential component to drinking in Japan, you will be able to get them here too. Opt for the chicken breast meat (sasami) and skin (kawa) or gizzard (sunagimo) and heart (hatsu) if you're more adventurous. Kanpai!

4. Béni, Genting Highlands
Having been awarded the prestigious One Michelin star at the 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 Michelin Star Awards, Béni has finally arrived in Malaysia. The establishment, helmed by Chef de Cuisine Kenji Yamanaka, fuses the intricacies of Japanese produce with French fine dining cuisine. This includes Miyazaki prefecture's Ozaki A5 Wagyu Beef. Béni Malaysia's kitchen is spearheaded by none other than Head Chef Shiro Onishi. The design of the contemporary French-Japanese restaurant is also something to marvel at—from elegant marble tables to classy ceiling decorations. Dishes to try include the aforementioned A5 Wagyu with potato and madeira, and the signature Amadai—cooked in the traditional Matsukasayaki style (the scales are left on the fish and fried to a crisp).

5. Starving Hub, Sri Petaling
Formerly of Noble House, Chef Wong is bringing his years of experience in the culinary world to a new venture (and dimension). At Starving Hub, his aim is to incorporate innovative ideas to the most classic of dishes. Try the lamb rack and pork shoulder steak. Chef Wong showcases his signature marinating technique featuring 12 types of spices. Other options worth checking out include the Unagi Burger, Three Flavours Mini Cones Treasure, Foie Gras with Black Caviar, and Golden Roses in the Pot.

6. Cong Caphe, KL Sentral
The well-known coffee parlour from Vietnam has opened their second overseas outlet—the first in South Korea and now in Malaysia. If you're craving Vietnamese coffee or really want to try some, Cong Caphe is the cafe to go to. With more than 50 stores in Vietnam, the chain is definitely worth checking out. You will first notice the heavy usage of wood in its design—reminiscent of the country's history. In addition to the unique décor, spot the uniforms that are inspired by Viet Cong. Order the Vinacano, Hanoian coffee with condensed milk, and Coconut Coffee Smoothie among other choices on the menu. Come here to relax with a book or gather with friends for some down time.

This cosy and minimally-designed cafe places a joyful focus on desserts. Walk into the store and you will definitely notice potted greens and coloured rattan. What should you try from Pokok's sister cafe? Some highlights include the Coffee Cheesecake, Apam Balik, Kouign-Amann, Sirap Bandung Cake, Pink Latte, and Peach Passion Iced Tea.
