It's the moment you've been waiting for! During the entire duration of Movement Control Order (and Conditional MCO), dine-ins were a rarity (well, that's expected) as establishments pivot to deliveries and takeaways instead. Now that we're in Recovery MCO, businesses have begun operating again and Malaysians can return to their favourite restaurants and cafes

As hotels in Kuala Lumpur resume operations, the dining spots in the hotels have also started welcoming patrons. Reward yourself with ethereal afternoon tea sessions, quality steaks, and more delicious delights.

Here are the hotel restaurants and afternoon teas you can visit right now:

1. Prime, Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur

Known as one of the best steakhouses in Malaysia, Prime—helmed by Chef de Cuisine Ramiro Moya—has reopened for dine-in services with a compressed menu. Available for dinner from 5.30pm to 9pm daily, Prime is back with a large variety of signature steaks in different cuts, such as Black Angus Tenderloin, Rubia Gallega, Wagyu Picanha, and Wagyu Prime Ribs.

In addition to steaks, the menu also consists of dishes like Baked Lobster Bisque, Australian Flower Crab Cake, Butter Poached Lobster, and Atlantic Black Cod. To ensure social distancing, seating capacity will be limited to only 45 persons per dinner session.

2. The Lobby Lounge, The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur

4. Sabayon, EQ Kuala Lumpur

Located on the highest floor of EQ Kuala Lumpur, Sabayon has re-opened with its contemporary European cuisine. 5. Thirty8, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur

Comprising of a 360º city view, Thirty8 is one of the most popular dining destinations in Kuala Lumpur. The cuisine here is a combination of Japanese, Chinese, and Western flavours. 6. Mosaic, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur

The hotel's Mosaic buffet will be available again from 10 June—with an assisted buffet arrangement. This means that your favourite dishes will be prepared a la minute at the live stations; in line with health and safety measures. Lunch is priced at RM138 and dinner at RM168.

Dishes include appetisers such as scallops, prawns, slipper lobster, blue mussels, oysters, and a selection of sashimi. You can also get beef striploin steaks, lamb chops, meatballs with pine seed, braised beef with dried coconut, lamb shank in spinach black pepper gravy, and a variety of homemade pasta by Chef Luigi.

7. Shang Palace, Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Reopening for dine-in from 11.30am to 2.30pm (except weekends), Shang Palace serves authentic Cantonese cuisine in a grand setting. Shang Palace will only be closed on Saturdays from 15 June.

Favola—helmed by Chef de Cuisine Domenico Piras—has now reopened for dine-in. Specialising in Venetian flavours, seafood takes the spotlight at Favola. Operating under a limited schedule until 31 July 2020, Favola will be open for lunch on Monday to Friday from 12pm to 3pm and for dinner on Thursday to Sunday from 6pm to 10pm.

The a la carte menu consists of signature dishes such as Beef Carpaccio and Sous Vide Duck Breast Salad; Mixed Mushroom Soup with Truffle Oil; Margherita and Venetian Pizza; Risotto Bianco with Green Asparagus, Asiago Cheese, and Black Truffle Oil; Squid Ink Tagliolini with Scallops, Tiger Prawns, Basil, Cherry Tomatoes, and Light Saffron Sauce; Sardinian Malloreddus with Eight-hours Braised Lamb Sauce; and the signature Zabaione dessert.
