Where to find alcoholic bubble tea drinks in Kuala Lumpur
Tea-psy boba drinks
Just when you thought the boba craze can't go any crazier (read: the one to two-hour wait for Xing Fu Tang in SS15), here comes alcoholic versions of bubble tea. Granted that everyone is having fun and jumping on the bandwagon of trends—like that White Rabbit bubble tea in PJ—but spiked bubble tea isn't exactly new either. It is, however, catching on. We round up three places in KL that serves a mean mix of boba and alcohol (tea not included for some).
1. MyPizzaLab, Seapark
Not only were they probably the first to serve a dessert-style boba pizza but they also introduced boba beers! The base: Tiger Beer. Choose between Jasmine Tea Tiger Beer Boba and Aged Pu-er Tiger Beer Boba. The combos have been described as refreshing. Have you tried them yet?
12, Jalan 21/22, Sea Park, 46300 Petaling Jaya
2. Young Masters, TTDI
This pub has only recently unveiled their boba concoctions and though we're a tad confused with the Pokemon theme, we must say that the punny names are spot on. Teagglypuff consists of milk tea, Malibu, Jameson and brown sugar boba; while Milo Bobasaur is a mixture of Milo Dinosaur, Baileys Irish Cream and topped with brown sugar boba. Our money's on Milo Bobasaur!
100A, Jalan Burhanuddin Helmi, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur
3. Coley Cocktail Bar, Bangsar
As one of the best bars in KL, Coley never fails to impress and always pulls off a pleasant surprise with their creative cocktails. In late 2018, they created a Whisky and Bubble Tea cocktail. If you've never been a fan of whisky, this drink might just change your mind.
6- G, Jalan Abdullah, Bangsar Park, 59000 Kuala Lumpur
