From H&MxErdem to Karl LagerfeldxVans’ collaborations, high-low pairings are all the rage now, and the two latest brands that have hopped on the bandwagon are Victoria’s Secret and Balmain. The lingerie brand has recently announced the details for its 2017 show, and now, it has just revealed its partnership with the French fashion house, with a collage of images posted on its Instagram with the hashtag #VSxBalmain. Although unexpected, the collab isn’t entirely surprising, as Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing has always casted the VS Angels such as Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima in his runways and advertising campaigns.
Aside from creating custom looks for the year-end show, Balmain will also be designing a capsule collection for the brand, which will be sold in stores and online the day after the show airs on the 28th of November. Can we expect the brand’s signature body-sculpting silhouettes and sharp tailoring from the collection? Guess we’ll find out when the first teaser drops. Stay tuned!
