Top models we love in AW16

Last week, we presented with you top five breakout faces on the runways of AW16, from the edgy, ever-versatile Dilone to Alexander Wang’s semi-exclusive Katie Moore. So this week, we salute the top models in the industry, and when we mean ‘top’, we’re talking models who’ve walked more than 50 shows this fashion month:

Maartje Verhoef

This Dutch beauty isn’t new to the industry, having walked 66 shows during last spring coupled with her magazine cover appearances (Vogue Russia and Germany being her latest) and a slew of ad campaigns (she’s the new face for Alexander McQueen’s Bloom At Night fragrance). When she’s not busy sauntering the runways, you’d spot Verhoef repping her effortless off-duty model style on the streets during fashion month.

Marjan Jonkman

Another Dutch face in this list is Marjan Jonkman, whose platinum blond locks and doll-like blue eyes landed her an exclusive with Saint Laurent back in Spring 2015. Jonkman has had 60 shows under her belt this AW16, including big names such as Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Fendi, Alexander Wang, and Saint Laurent.

Lineisy Montero

Santo Domingo native Lineisy Montero probably didn’t see what was coming right after walking exclusively for Prada AW15. Montero went from rollercoaster rides (she was discovered in an amusement park) to runway-ready in a year, and has been touted to be the new face of the season. Another one who’s got smashing street style credentials, stalk her IG for to find out all the shows she’s walked this season (a total of 61 if you didn’t know already).

Odette Pavlova

Russian native Odette Pavlova and her twin sister Lia are perhaps the only siblings (twins too!) taking the runway world by storm at the moment. Odette has been spotted at Louis Vuitton, Celine, Chanel, Fendi, and Lemaire among the 62 shows this AW16 season thanks to her edgy/versatile appearance.

Lia Pavlova

Just about the most hardworking model this past fashion month, Lia Pavlova blazed the stage by walking at 71 shows this AW16, including opening for Saint Laurent, Coach 1941, Gareth Pugh, and closing for Gucci and Victoria Beckham. One reason why she’s conquering the runways? Pavlova can pull off any look, be it contemporary workwear (Boss) or punk/rocker-cool (Saint Laurent).
