We’ve come to the final leg of awards season! Every year, the season leads up to the highest accolade in show business—The Academy Awards. With the first ceremony taking place in 1929, it carries a long legacy of being the most highly anticipated awards ceremony. And with such a rich history of hosting Hollywood‘s finest, you can bet the red carpet has been nothing short of stellar.
If you’re feeling nostalgic with the turn of the new decade, here’s a walk down memory lane for you. We’ve searched through the archives for some of the most memorable red carpet ensembles The Oscars have seen to date. Both were good luck charms for the leading ladies as they both walked away with the Best Actress award in 2001 and 2002.
