The second drop from Converse and JW Anderson’s collaboration is a colourful dream come true

What do you get when you combine candy colours with shiny textures and fuzzy details? Answer: Converse and JW Anderson’s second collab collection, named Toy. After releasing their first last year, both brands are back at it again with another line of reimagined sneakers—if you loved the glitter Chuck Taylors from the first season, you’ll probably love this even more.

Highlighting the Chuck 70 Hi and Ox range, the high and low-tops are given a reiteration in patent leather, complete with oversized fuzzy laces and translucent gradient colourways. Result? A delectable collection that’ll give you that extra spring in your step, for sure. First spotted on the JW Anderson Autumn/Winter 2018 runway, the Converse kicks were inspired by Jonathan Anderson’s obsession with arts and craft. The shoes join the rest of the sneaker trends such as the clunky version that is dominating the streets. In addition to that, if you prefer a design closer to the American shoe brand’s original, the Grid sneakers from the Converse x JW Anderson first drop will also be reintroduced in Scarlet Red.
