Now in Malaysia: 5 New fashion brands you should check out (and be decked out in)

New month, new clothes! Pay day and the upcoming Raya holiday means shopping for new clothes is pretty much a must. But if you’re sick and tired of the same old brands that are available, and online shopping just doesn’t give you that sense of satisfaction, we’ve found you not one, but five new fashion brands that have just arrived on our Malaysian shores. Trust us when we say that they’ll have the perfect threads to add to your wardrobe, from lingerie to clothing to accessories—fine China tableware for your home, included. The best part? Three of the five brands below are located at Parkson Elite Pavilion, making it the perfect one-stop shop regardless of how much time you have on your hands.

AllSaints

London-based label AllSaints has always been the epitome of cool youth. Its vision? “To create a brand that blends music and fashion into a potent formula of desirable clothing that expresses individuality and attitude”. With 710k followers on Instagram, the brand has finally made its way to Southeast Asia for the first time, with an over 74 square-metre space at Parkson Elite in Pavilion KL, to be exact. Drop by to check out the Spring 2019 collection in-store, were chief creative director Wil Beedle took inspiration from the cinematic experiences that depict escapism, romance, rebellion, freedom and hope. You’ll be able to find AllSaints’ signature leather biker jackets to pieces in a collage of statement prints in-store.

6ixty8ight

Founded in 2002 in Paris by French lingerie designer Marie Destombe and Swedish businessman Erik Ryd with a headquarter based in Hong Kong, fashion lingerie label, 6ixty8ight has opened its first store in Malaysia. Designed specifically for the Asian body types, the line has got you covered with its range of underwear and loungewear, from sexy slip dresses to comfy T-shirts and shorts to frilly bralettes. And the best part? They’re at an affordable price. It’s time to stock up your lingerie closet.

Pinko

Founded in the early ’90s, Pinko is an Italian independent fashion brand that aims to cater to women of different ages, but one thing they all have in common? Their love for modern femininity. Its space at Parkson Elite Pavilion is the brand’s second store in Southeast Asia, and it spans over 94 square metres. Its Spring/Summer 2019 collection features a limited edition capsule line that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first man landing on the Moon, so be sure to check that out.

Halcyon Days

Not familiar with the brand? Halcyon Days is one of only 14 companies in the world to hold all three Royal warrants to the British Royal Household (the Queen of England, Prince Phillip and Prince Charles)—how’s that for an introduction? Established in 1950 as an antique gift shop in Mayfair, London, the British luxury goods retailer doesn’t only have fine bone China in stores, it also has fashion accessories such as scarves and bangles, and watches in an array of designs that make for perfect gifts too. Aside from the scarves which are made in Italy with the highest quality of silk, the rest of the items in-store are all made in England, and the highest standards of quality are ensured.

MSGM

Italian label MSGM has also opened its first store in Malaysia, much to the streetwear fans delight. Situated next to AllSaints and Pinko. the design of the space follows the concept of the branch in London, where mirrored walls and pops of bright yellow hue perfectly accentuate and highlight the kaleidoscope of colours, shapes and lines in the collection. Menswear-wise, find ’80s Manga characters Mila and Shiro emblazoned on men’s T-shirts and hoodies, while the womenswear collection this season radiates that sporty elegance that make the perfect ensembles from day to night.
