Versace Le Medusa Mini bag
Mini can be mighty––Versace’s latest addition to the La Medusa family is solid evidence. Defined by a rigid handle formed into a distinctive Versace chain, the La Medusa mini is a force of definitive feminine attitude, encapsulating Medusa’s mythic power and allure into its scaled-down size. It’s detachable strap offers an alternate carry option while a central plaque punctuates the front for an instantly recognisable symbol of the Versace brand.
The La Medusa Mini is available in black and gold options in glossy patent leather, or bright marigold yellow, DV blue and turquoise for those who prefer pops of colour.
Bottega Veneta Cassette
It feels like just yesterday when the iconic Cassette debuted on Bottega Veneta’s Pre-Fall 2019 runway. An interpretation of the signature intrecciato weave, the distinct bag has since become ubiquitous among the fashion cognoscenti, breathing new life into the brand, while preserving their heritage and blending luxurious craftsmanship with modernity.
This season, the well-loved Cassette arrives updated in a variety of styles and sizes, including the Chain Cassette, padded Cassette and Mini Cross-body Cassette amongst others. As for colours, your options are endless, ranging from neutrals to pastel suedes, a delectable mint green snakeskin print and of course, Bottega green.
Salvatore Ferragamo Cage bag
The new must-have item from Salvatore Ferragamo for Spring/Summer 2022 is the Cage bag, a creative twist on the classic bucket bag with a modern Ferragamo flair. This fresh iteration is encapsulated by bold striking hues and an eye-catching structure made of smooth, Italian calf leather that’s composed of an outer cage with a soft leather drawstring pouch inside. Dig deeper into the house’s heritage and you’ll recognise that this very design is inspired by the 1951 Kimo sandal, a reflection of their trademark combination of technical skill and style research.
Essentially, it’s a bag within a bag, outfitted with geometric studs and leather shoulder straps that inject a dose of practicality. For Pre-Spring, the Cage arrives in black leather, Tyrone Turquoise and Candy apple, with the addition of an optical white model for the summer.
Loewe Luna bag
Taking its name from the Spanish word for ‘moon’, Loewe’s new Luna bag is a fresh take on the classic hobo bag via an everyday carryall that sits comfortably on the shoulder for anytime of the day. The bag was first unveiled on the Spring/Summer 2022 runways and immediately caught eyes for its distinct, crescent shape. Metallic sliding eyelets bring possibilities of personalisation with additional shoulder straps or charms.
The Luna is available in an array of stunning shades from pecan to avocado green, ash grey satin calfskin with the Loewe jacquard strap. Fans of the iconic Anagram jacquard will be delighted to hear that the bag also comes in navy/black, green/avocado green and tan/pecan colourways.
Cartier Panthère de Cartier bag
Cartier’s iconic spirit animal makes its mark on the jeweller’s latest bag. Aptly named Panthère de Cartier, the new design is defined by its structured, trapezoid shape and crafted out of finely grained leather with a black-speckled jewel clasp bearing the signature animal. The bag also evokes the original and creative heritage of Jeanne Toussaint, the eccentric visionary––nicknamed “La Panthère”––who was the first to adopt the creature as a three-dimensional emblem.
Whether you wear it on the shoulder or in your hands, there’s no denying of the bedazzling sculptural ‘C’––created in collaboration between Cartier’s design studio and its High Jewellery sculptor––that sits centerstage as a clasp.
The Panthère de Cartier is available in two looks and two sizes: a small and a mini model, to be worn for any occasion and is available in a palette of black, cherry red, green and pale pink. All bags can also be personalised by adding initials or a date; either hot-stamped in gold foil upon the bag or by engraving the interior mirror.
