MTV Video Music Awards 2025: All the Best Looks From the Red Carpet
Glamour in motion
The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards landed in New York today, transforming UBS Arena into a night of music and style. Hosted by LL Cool J, the evening celebrated music’s biggest names: Rosé and Bruno Mars won Song of the Year with Apt., Lady Gaga was named Artist of the Year, and Mariah Carey received the Vanguard Award. True to VMA tradition, the night kicked off on the red carpet, where the looks set the tone for the evening.
Nostalgia ruled as stars remixed iconic eras for the modern moment. Doja Cat radiated ’80s energy in a vibrant harlequin Balmain mini, while Tyla wore a 1993 beige Chanel shirt styled as a mini, layered with gold jewellery from Pandora. Ariana Grande charmed in a playful polka-dot Fendi gown, and Ice Spice brought early-2000s Ralph Lauren cool into the present with a contemporary twist.
Valentino showcased its signature elegance on the red carpet, dressing Sabrina Carpenter in a red, long-sleeved lace dress softened with a lavender fur scarf, alongside Sombr in select pieces from the Spring 2026 collection.
Tate McRae turned heads in a custom Ludovic de Saint Sernin white silk chiffon dress, hand-pleated over matching underwear. Ciara commanded attention in a fiery red, oversized, high-collared Schiaparelli jacket, while rising girl group Katseye dazzled in coordinated Dolce & Gabbana ensembles.
Elsewhere, Conan Gray embraced maximalism in a full denim sailor outfit, complete with a bespoke hat, all by Erik Charlotte. Lenny Kravitz pared back the drama in a houndstooth Saint Laurent suit, bare-chested, letting the tailoring speak for itself.
