One British-chic collection to watch out for this April is high street label Marks & Spencer’s collaboration with the ever-stylish Alexa Chung. Instead of rolling out a brand new line of apparel as the usual celeb-fashion collabs would, the “Archive by Alexa” line is a project that looks back to the archives of Marks & Spencer—essentially rediscovering pieces and reinventing them with modern fabrications and an updated colour palette. This 31-piece womenswear collection is handpicked and curated by Chung alongside the label’s design team.
“I have always had an affection for Marks & Spencer. I am thrilled to be part of this special and unique project,” says Chung. “There was something very touching about looking back through the British fashion and social history for which M&S is synonymous”.
