BURO Spotlights: Longchamp x Constantin Pop-Up Arrives in Kuala Lumpur
From Paris with blue

Craftsmanship has always been at the heart of Longchamp’s identity, but its true signature lies in evolution. Over the years, the Parisian house has welcomed artists into its world, transforming ready-to-wear and accessories into canvases for dialogue and reimagination. From André Saraiva’s playful brushstrokes to Robert Indiana’s famous ‘Love’ motif, these partnerships move beyond aesthetics, reshaping the language of fashion piece by piece.
This year, Longchamp keeps its collaboration close to home. For Fall 2025, the French house partners for the first time with Paris-based artist Constantin Riant, whose cobalt-blue sketches capture the soul of the city’s street corners. His references include handwritten signs, chipped façades, and bookshops tucked between cafés. Those lines take on new life in the capsule’s hero piece: the ‘Les Artisans de Paris’ silk scarf—a tribute to everyday makers.

Celebrating Longchamp’s tradition of leather craftsmanship, Riant crafted a new emblem for the capsule—one that threads the past into the present. It brings together key symbols from the house’s history: the first leather-wrapped pipes, the iconic Le Pliage, plus a plane and ship that evoke the spirit of travel.
Pressed into a leather label, the design anchors a cotton jacket and a pair of overalls, and reappears across a sweatshirt, a tee, and a tote poised to become the Parisienne’s next go-to. The palette stays true to Riant’s language: blue and white, rendered in dense cotton canvas that softens with time and develops a lived-in patina—just like the tools it honours.

To mark the launch of the Longchamp x Constantin collection, the house brought a slice of Paris to Kuala Lumpur with an immersive pop-up at the main entrance of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Inspired by the quiet poetry of everyday life in the French capital, the space channels the charm of neighbourhood streets—complete with classic shopfronts, handwritten signs, and traditional crafts, all reimagined in Riant’s signature blue and white.

The collection feels right at home here, especially in reworked classics like Le Pliage. More than a display, the experience invites visitors to linger: sip coffee, savour a pastry, pick out a postcard, and leave with a bouquet.
