Just days after Men’s Fashion Week SS25, Louis Vuitton has welcomed Gong Yoo as its latest house ambassador. Known for his iconic roles in Coffee Prince, Train to Busan, and The Silent Sea, the South Korean actor is no stranger to the brand, having previously starred in the global LV Tambour Horizon watch campaign and attended the House’s recent menswear show. The decision is further supported by his reputation for pushing artistic boundaries and engaging in meaningful activism, which aligns with Louis Vuitton’s commitment to charitable, sustainable and social endeavours. “Gong Yoo will bring his unique style and influence to a range of initiatives, continuing to inspire and connect with audiences around the globe through shared values of creativity, innovation and human touch,” the House shared.

Following its debut in the beauty industry earlier this year, Celine now makes another stride by introducing its inaugural Pilates collection. This exciting new line features essential activewear like athletic bras, cycling shorts and leggings, along with gym gear like yoga mats, dumbbells and kettlebells. Adding a touch of sophistication, the classic Triomphe motif adorns stylish accessories like gym bags and weighted bracelets. Look for the Celine Pilates collection online and in select Celine stores starting October 2024.

Puma continues to foster collaboration by announcing a new partnership with Rosé of Blackpink. The Korean-New Zealand singer will lend her unique perspective and creative ideas to the brand’s global campaigns, enhancing its iconic silhouette and championing the ‘Rewrite the Classics’ initiative. Maria Valdes, Chief Product Office for Puma, remarked, “Rose’s remarkable influence on music, fashion and culture globally is such an inspiration. We are thrilled to embark on this journey with her, where she will play a diverse role, leveraging her knowledge and vision to help us redefine our classic space.” The Gone singer wore the Puma Palermo for her first Puma commercial.

 

H&M’s newest collection showcases Jean-Michel Basquiat’s works

H&M has teamed up with New York-based fashion designers Ev Bravado and Téla D’Amore to launch a collection that pays homage to Jean-Michel Basquiat’s profound impact on young black creatives. The 30-piece collection seamlessly blends Basquiat’s iconic imagery with Bravado and D’Amore’s distinctive stained glass motifs and expressive designs. Key pieces include a bomber jacket embellished with Basquiat’s vibrant artwork ‘Ass Killer, 1984’ and embroidered arched window designs, a sleek black blazer featuring Basquiat’s jazz-inspired scribbles (Discography 1, 1984) and luxurious black leather trousers referencing his artworks ‘Untitled (Ideal), 1988’ and ‘Untitled (World Famous), 1983.’ Additionally, the limited-edition series includes a distressed denim jacket and matching jeans showcasing Basquiat’s art within recurring window designs. This collection will be available online and in select stores worldwide beginning July 18, 2024.

After its acclaimed debuts in Florence and Tokyo, Gucci Visions has now made its way to the Emsphere in Bangkok. The latest exhibition pays homage to Gucci’s 103-year history through six carefully curated themed rooms, each showcasing a distinct aspect of the House’s evolution. From heritage-inspired luggage tailored for modern travellers to gorgeous gowns worn by celebrities on the red carpets, the exhibition seamlessly intertwines the House’s past and present, celebrating the diverse chapters of its legacy. A grand opening was held earlier this month with brand ambassadors Davika Hoorne, Gulf Kanawut, and freshly appointed Billkin in attendance. Celebrities from neighbouring countries were also there, such as Mahalini Raharja, Liza Soberano, and James Reid, along with our own Scha Alyahya and Awal Ashaari.

Calvin Klein has named Veronica Leoni as its latest creative director of the collection. A 2023 LVMH Prize finalist and founder of Quira, the Italian-born designer has worked with renowned names like Jil Sander, Céline, Moncler and The Row. She will work closely with Global Brand President Eva Serrano to bring fresh inspiration from the Collection to the mainline portfolio and red-carpet designs. “It was clear from our first conversations that Veronica’s life’s work had been preparing her for this moment and the opportunity to define a new era for Calvin Klein. I am confident that her purposeful approach to design and work ethic, combined with our shared values, will further enrich our iconic brand and result in a collection that resonates with our consumers around the world,” says Serrano. Leoni’s debut collection for Calvin Klein, which will feature men’s and women’s apparel, underwear, and accessories, is set to launch in Autumn 2025.

The Parisian brand travelled to Shanghai recently to showcase its Spring 2025 collection at the Museum of Art Pudong. The runway, staged outdoors amid rain, offered a stunning backdrop of The Bund and the city’s iconic skyline. The ready-to-wear collection began with super-elongated, vertical silhouettes inspired by the towering skyscrapers, before transitioning to an array of silk dresses and faux fur coats. Adding to the spectacle are experimental dresses made from unexpected materials like clothing rack covers and vintage pink plastic bags. Another standout element is the variety of accessories such as platform metalhead boots, layered platform sneakers and Jacob & Co. jewellery.

Creative director Jonathan Anderson is playing with scales and proportions in this campaign, transforming everyday designs like the Puzzle Fold tote, Flamenco Purse, and Squeeze bag to new levels of sophistication with soft, flexible iterations. Photographed by Juergen Teller, the images capture the meticulously detailed landscapes of Bekonscot and feature a diverse ensemble of artists and creatives who form the evolving community around Loewe this season.
