Dressed up Fridays: Get your pouf on

Every Friday shouldn’t be an excuse to put on your boyfriend jeans and slack on dressing up. There’s nothing like a poufy skirt and a pair of metallic heels to make you feel like a princess—even better yet, these festive colours of red, green, and gold make it the perfect outfit to wear for your Christmas dinner.

Instead of a neutral-hued top, add some colour with Lemaire’s dark forest-green sweater. Spun in Italy from the softest virgin wool, its has a lean, fitting silhouette flatters without being too body-hugging.

And the statement knee-skimming skirt of the night would be Versace’s stretch silk-wool blend panelled skirt. We can’t decide if we love the box pleats or ultra chic A-line silhouette more.

We always recommend going for gold, especially this stunning bronze python pair from Tom Ford. Go out of your comfort zone (read: chuck your plain black pumps out) with this Italian-made pumps that feature the designer’s signature gold-tone steel spike heel.

To complement the lovely green hue of your sweater, these Gucci gold-plated brass earrings strung with green crystals are delicate yet contemporary enough to stand out. We’re also crushing on the lion’s head—a key motif in the label’s SS’16 collection.

Lastly, keep all your essentials in a classic, champagne-coloured Diorama bag. This Resort 2016 metallic calfskin piece has miniature embossed motifs that offer a graphic punch to your entire look.
