Help reduce fabric waste in landfills, donate your old denim threads to Guess

Denim is known for its durability, but what happens when said article of clothing meets the end of its shelf life? A tear on a pair of jeans gives a “lived-in” effect that’s highly sought after (read: People buying torn jeans off the rack). But if upcycling doesn’t cut it, what’s a girl and a boy to do?

For the entire month of August, Guess will be welcoming denim donations (from all brands) in collaboration with Kloth Cares, in the hopes of reducing fabric waste in landfills. Donations to the organisation will be filtered, and usable clothes will be donated to charity or sold to bundle stores; the remaining will be used for industrial wiping cloths and blended to produce engineered fuel for cement kilns.

If the jeans you’re donating happens to be your only pair, fret not. Guess is offering a special ‘Buy 1 Free 1’ offer on all denim purchases during the promotional period.  Bring a friend—walk home with a pair each!

Guess will be accepting donations from 1 – 31 August 2018 at Guess Pavilion, KLCC, The Gardens Mall, 1 Utama, Sunway Pyramid, IOI City Mall, Setia City Mall and Aeon Bukit Tinggi. For more information on Kloth Cares and their efforts, follow their updates on Instagram.
