Loewe Puzzle 10 Celebrates a Decade of the Puzzle Bag

Before Loewe became a household name, it was already synonymous with impeccable leather craftsmanship. Founded in 1846 in Madrid, the Spanish house earned a loyal following among royalty and golden-age Hollywood stars who coveted its refined, artisanal leather goods.
Joining the luxury powerhouse LVMH in 1996 injected fresh momentum into the brand, and a succession of creative directors—including Narciso Rodriguez, José Enrique Oña Selfa, and Stuart Vevers—each sought to modernise and elevate its identity. However, the true renaissance began when Jonathan Anderson took the reins in 2013.
Under his direction, Loewe adopted a renewed commitment to artisanal craft, conceptual design, and cultural dialogue, setting the brand on a dynamic path where heritage meets avant-garde expression. From launching the Loewe Craft Prize and introducing Paula’s Ibiza capsule to revolutionising menswear, his impact has reshaped the house’s creative landscape. Then came the Puzzle bag—Anderson’s first original bag design for Loewe.
Inspired by geometric forms and crafted with meticulous precision, its distinctive cuboid silhouette and innovative folding construction challenged traditional handbag design. Upon its debut in 2015, the Puzzle bag became an instant sensation, admired for its blend of artistry and function. This year, Loewe celebrates its tenth anniversary with the Puzzle 10 collection: 19 re-editions of the brand’s most beloved designs from the past decade.
The limited-edition Puzzle 10 collection honours Loewe’s artisanal heritage with a playful, contemporary spirit. From intricate appliqué and embroidery to delicate cross-stitch and the house’s signature leather marquetry, many of the bags are brought to life with painterly flourishes and poetic inscriptions.
Each piece is detailed with a commemorative metal plaque and paired with two Loewe balloon charms. The collection also debuts the Confetti bag—a dazzling design adorned with thousands of leather and metal sequins. Defined by its iconic cuboid silhouette, the Confetti bag celebrates a joyful decade of creative evolution.
In celebration of the Puzzle’s tenth anniversary, Loewe takes over its magazine with an immersive feature charting the bag’s evolution and the stories behind each Puzzle 10 re-edition.
