Cannes Film Festival 2023: Spectacular red carpet looks we can’t get enough of

From May 16 to May 27, all eyes are set on France as the Cannes Film Festival returns to the Palace of Festivals and Congresses of Cannes for its 76th edition. The red carpet rolled out earlier this week for the screening of Maiwenn’s Jeanne du Barry, and the A-listers did not disappoint, serving us a plethora of fabulous outfits.

Among those who caught our eye were Elle Fanning, who graced the red carpet in an Alexander McQueen pale pink tulle orchid gown with a silver bugle bead top, and Brie Larson, who channelled classic Hollywood glamour in a beaded gold Chanel gown. Catherine Zeta-Jones came in hot in her crimson Elie Saab gown, while Pom Klementieff stole the show in a Versace number in Dark Orchid purple with a leg slit opening for a hint of sensuality.

Elsewhere, Saint Laurent dominated the red carpet as Blackpink’s Rose—the House’s muse—arrived stylishly in a chic black high-neck gown, while supermodel Park Soo Joo was spotted in a dazzling sleeveless round-neck dress. The French label also dressed Anja Rubik and Iris Law in classic pieces from the AW23 collection. Not to be missed is EGOT winner Viola Davis, who showed up in a white Valentino gown topped off by a feathered coat.

At the premiere of the film May December, Natalie Portman was dressed to the nines in a sparkling strapless ‘Junon’ dress by Dior while Charles Melton showed up in a white double-breasted suit by Giorgio Armani. Meanwhile, Michelle Yeoh stunned in a green taffeta Balenciaga gown before accepting the Kering’s ‘Women in Motion’ Award in the Spanish fashion house’s strapless black column dress and long evening gloves.

Other outfits that had the internet buzzing were Aishwarya Rai’s sculptural masterpiece by Sophie Couture and, of course, Dua Lipa, who made her Cannes debut in a satin one-shoulder Celine gown with her new boyfriend, Romain Gavras.
