Calvin Klein Jeans release a capsule collection of Andy Warhol’s self-portraits

Before the birth of the modern #selfie, there was Andy Warhol and his self-portraits. His acrylic and screenprint works of pop art decorate galleries around the world—the introvert in the dark sunglasses now a legend in modern art history. In partnership with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, fellow stateside native Calvin Klein Jeans reinterpret the works for an all-American take on the everyday casual basics. The canvas: T-shirts, hoodies, jeans, bags and canvas high-top sneakers, all in neutralising shades of white, black and blue, leaving the chromatic silkscreen prints in full focus. The most universally recognised print has got to be Andy Warhol’s series of self-portraits from 1986—floating heads in vivid colours against a plain, black background. The subject in question serving face with selfie game on lock.

The capsule collection is available at Calvin Klein Jeans Pavilion KL and KLCC.
