Less than a month after LVMH confirmed Rihanna’s very own Fenty line—making her the first woman to launch and head an original brand under the luxury group—the pop icon and style star has unveiled her first collection for Spring 2019, and we’re definitely liking what we see. According to the lookbook, a series of sharp blazers, utilitarian denim and structured T-shirts take centre stage, coupled with strong shoulders, cinched waists and mini lengths that are all unmistakably Rihanna. Some of the pieces can be worn two ways too, either layered over trousers or simply wear them on its own. Although the looks reflect Rihanna’s personal style, if some of the pieces look more than familiar, that might be because the CEO and artistic director herself has been test-driving the pieces and wearing them out and about a few months prior to the launch. Accessories-wise, sunglasses, jewellery and sandals are also introduced. We have our eyes set on the oversized aviators, fanny pack and strappy heels.
