New month, new bags: November’20 edition—from Chanel, Saint Laurent, Cartier, and more

Last month, we saw the launch of some of the most coveted arm candies this season, including the Longchamp x Pokémon line, the refreshed Furla Metropolis collection, Burberry’s new Olympia bag, and more. This month, more brands have launched their AW20 offerings, and regardless of whether you’re a fan of timeless silhouettes or statement pieces, our November’20 list has got something that will tickle your fancy.

These are all the new bags to check out this month:

Chanel AW20 collection

Chanel’s Autumn/Winter 2020 collection is now in stores, and when it comes to its highly coveted bags, that means one can expect new designs and seasonal colours. Highlights include the classic flap that’s adorned with the iconic Byzantine jewellery clasp, a flap bag with ruffled details that give it an added flair, as well as a cute diamond bag that is available in the form of a crossbody, a clutch, and a belted coin purse. Cute! Hues-wise, the bright pink, yellow, and pistachio green shades are not to be missed.

Saint Laurent Carré

Think of Saint Laurent’s bags and the classic Envelope, the Uptown, and the new Solferino will most likely come to mind, but the Carré bag—first introduced in AW19—is the opposite when it comes to the design. Firstly, instead of a YSL logo that’s instantly recognisable, the sleek crossbody comes with minimal gold hardware that gives it a vintage allure. This season, the boxy carrier is crafted in different materials, from smooth to alligator and ostrich leather. Take your pick from the six colours available.

Cartier Must de Cartier

A quick Google search on “Must de Cartier handbags” will lead you to a long list of vintage pieces, but if you’re looking to score a brand new bag, good news: the brand has relaunched the collection this month. Originally introduced in 1973, the bag quickly rose the the top of the It-list thanks to its original design, and now, 37 years later, the line is given a style update with new silhouettes. Available in the form of a hobo bag, a crossbody saddle, and a tote bag, though the signature Cartier burgundy hue remains the same, the logo has been reworked and reintroduced in XXL size that’s embossed and saddle-stitched.

Dior St Honoré

Following the introduction of the Lady D-Lite and the Bobby bags earlier this year, Dior has unveiled its newest addition to its line-up—the St Honoré. Named after the French Maison’s emblematic address in Paris, the tote is made for those who are all for classic sophistication. Available in box or grained leather, the bag is minimally designed, and it’s adorned with an enamel ‘CD’ logo that comes with a swivel clasp. A removable shoulder strap lets you switch up your look.

Gucci Epilogue x Disney Donald Duck

From the show to the campaign, the Gucci Epilogue collection has set the internet abuzz ever since its unveiling, but its latest launch might just be the most exciting one yet. Three years after the brand introduced a full Donald Duck capsule collection, the cartoon character is back again, and this time, it has brought its triplet nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck along. An array of colourful motifs can be found throughout the collection, and bags-wise, they’re emblazoned on the GG Supreme canvas. The offerings include totes, belt bags, backpacks, clutches, travel luggages, and small leather goods.
