New month, new bags: March’21 edition—from Versace, Loewe, and more

The start of a new season marks the launch of a few highly-anticipated offerings, and this round, our list includes fresh drops from Versace, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, and Celine, as well as updated iterations from Fendi and Dior Men.

Ladies and gents, check out all the bag launches from this month:

For her:

Versace La Medusa

The head of Medusa has long been Versace’s emblem ever since it was introduced in 1993, and in SS21, the brand continues to champion the unique icon of beauty with the launch of the La Medusa bag. The line-up features a wide range of arm candies that are adorned with the instantly recognisable Medusa head—the same plaque that can be found on the doors of its first headquarters in Milan. On top of black and white, the pieces are introduced in an array of bold hues to complement its aquatic Wonderland-themed collection, but the DV Blue, in particular, is the colour to note.

Loewe Anagram jacquard

Originally designed in 1970 by Spanish painter Vicente Vela (and updated by creative director Jonathan Anderson in 2013), Loewe’s Anagram—in the shape of four intertwined ‘L’s—has been emblematic of the brand’s identity throughout the decades. This season, the House presented a new line of bags that features the iconic logo on soft canvas jacquard. From an all-over pattern to a standalone symbol, the anagram can be found woven onto Loewe’s well-loved bags—the Hammock, the Balloon, the Cube, and the Horseshoe. Aside from that, a new Anagram tote—in a roomy, no-frills design—is also in the mix.

Louis Vuitton Coussin bag

There’s a new It-bag in town, and it’s called the Coussin. Presented during the SS21 show, the pillow-like carrier comes in a three-pouch design that’s made of puffy lambskin leather, embossed with the Maison’s iconic monogram. Thanks to the chain and textile straps, the lightweight bag can be worn in three ways, making it the ideal everyday bag. Take your pick from the two sizes and six colours available.

For him:

Celine Triangle

First introduced in the brand’s SS21 ‘The Dancing Kid’ collection, the bag may be from the men’s collection, but who are we kidding? We’d shop it for ourselves too. As the name says, the mini piece comes in an angular shape, and it can be worn as a cross-body or a shoulder bag (we strongly recommend the former to maximise its cuteness). Available in smooth calfskin leather or Triomphe canvas, the playful bag—emblazoned with the House’s logo—will lend a statement-making finish to the simplest of looks.

Fendi FF Diagonal

Fendi’s FF Diagonal collection is given a colour update this season, as the emblematic FF jacquard is juxtaposed with king calf leather in a new brandy hue that tunes up the interest. From wallets to clutches to backpacks, take a pick from the array of accessories available—the line has something for you regardless of your style.
