Wearing green on green isn't as difficult as it looks — tonal dressing can be your forte as well, here's how you can do it right

Apart from monochrome dressing (where your outfit is entirely in grayscale or shades of black and white), tonal dressing should be one to bookmark on your style inspo moodboard in case you run out of ideas on what to wear. While we absolutely approve of clashing colours and prints, not everybody is blessed with the innate ability to figure out which eye-catching shade would go well with another in the same outfit.

At New York Men's Fashion Week AW17, we take a cue from the stylish folk on the streets on tonal dressing. If you can't make up your mind on what colour to go for, black is always a foolproof choice—add pizzazz via mixing and matching textures such as cotton, leather, suede and more. Alternatively, go with multiple shades of gray as demonstrated by Nickelson Wooster (Look 3), earthy tones (Look 7), and green hues (Look 8).
