H&M and The Weeknd unveils ‘Spring Icons’ collection

If you can’t sing like Abel Tesfaye, perhaps the next best thing is to dress like him. Better known as The Weeknd, the artist is the latest addition to H&M’s long list of much-anticipated collaborations. Tesfaye has curated a complete wardrobe of men’s essential pieces in ‘Spring Icons’, a capsule collection that sees a combination of utility and streetwear silhouettes with tailored lines. He said, “I had a great time selecting my Spring Icons at H&M. I love the mix of urban pieces like bombers and hoodies with tailored shirts and blazers. Every piece is both effortless and fresh, which is just how menswear should be.”

His words were echoed by H&M Head of Design for menswear, Andreas Löwenstam, who said, “Abel’s taste and style perfectly fits the menswear mood of the season at H&M. He has such a great eye for the little details that matter, and for mixing together updated men’s classics for the perfect tailored streetwear look.”

The ‘Spring Icons’ range features pieces that will sure to make you stand out in the upcoming season, from pullover hoodies to drawstring pants and raw-edged tees to light-washed jeans. The street edge is met with sleek items like a double-breasted coat, zip-up work shirt and Mandarin collar cotton shirts. However, our favourite number has got to be the bomber jacket that is adorned with the singer’s XO insignia. Take a look at every item in the gallery below and get ready to shop the collection when it hits H&M stores next month:
