Have you ever thought of making your own pair of sneakers? Louis Vuitton is now offering that experience—for the first time—through a new service called Now Yours, and you’ll be able to customise the design of your pair of Run Away sneakers from the sole up. From the colours and materials to initials, trust us when we say that the combinations are nearly endless—all you need to do is to unleash your creativity (and individuality). First introduced in 2014, although the shoes have been around for a while now, they’re now updated with a lighter and more flexible sole that is perfect for everyday wear.
Let us walk you through the customisation process; first, pick from the three materials offered, which are full calf leather, full alligator or a mix of calf leather and alligator. Next, you’ll have to decide on the colours for 13 different zones, such as the sole, heel, tongue and laces. The nine colours offered include bright purple, cognac, green, navy, orange, sunny yellow, vibrant red, black and white, but if you want to include a dose of prints, the Monogram, Monogram Eclipse, Monogram White and Damier Graphite are classic favourites. If you think that’s it, there’s more. To complete your Now Yours Run Away shoes, initials can be hot-stamped either on the heel or on the side of the sneaker. Those who opt for placement on the side will be allowed to combine it with Louis Vuitton’s iconic stripes in two colours of your choice. What will your ideal pair look like?
All of the “Now Yours Run Away” sneakers are made in-house at the Louis Vuitton workshop in Fiesso, Italy, and it’ll take six to eight weeks from start to finish.
