Inside the stylish Dioriviera pop-up in Desaru Coast

It’s a massive win for Malaysia as Dior kicks off its annual Dioriviera pop-up right here on the picturesque coast of Desaru. Running from the 13th of June to the 6th of August, the world-renowned ephemeral fashion experience sees every corner of the Ember Beach Club at One&Only Desaru Coast transformed into a total Dior holiday destination, with each part customised to match the summer capsule collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The video-worthy experience starts as soon as you drive up to the club entrance, with boulevard banners bearing the brand’s logo lining the road and a huge white Dior sign on a high stone wall greeting you as you arrive. Step inside the open-air beachside space and you’ll notice the House’s Toile de Jouy print, reinvented in blush, covering the walls, lounge chairs, cabanas and umbrellas, breathing new life into the already breathtaking location. The club’s two pools are given a makeover with the same print in blue covering the floor, and cute beachside huts in pink and grey are lined up against the clear backdrop of the sea and sky.

The main attraction, set in the middle of the club’s beach area, is a life-size ‘sandcastle’ cum retail space—one of three—that will truly leave you in awe. Coordinated perfectly with its surrounding setting, sculpted safari animals encircle the boutique as if standing guard over the entire pop-up.

The aforementioned shopping areas offer the latest Dioriviera capsule collection along with ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, accessories and Maison objects such as yoga mats, parasols, water bottles, a set of Finnish skittles and pétanque balls, and even a pink Toile de Jouy surfboard.

Other major unmissable highlights include a ferry—travelling between Singapore and Desaru—wrapped in pink Toile de Jouy, an outdoor cinema area that operates at night, mahjong tables for you to have fun and unwind at, and most importantly, Malaysia’s second Dior Café, led once more by Chef Raymond Tham of Beta KL and Skillet. With ingredients sourced locally, this time, his delectable menu highlights French cuisine combined with a local twist. Bookings in advance are required, so don’t forget to make your appointment here.
