PFW SS16: Anthony Vaccarello

It’s obvious that an Anthony Vaccarello girl loves short hemlines and hip-bone high slits, which is perhaps the reason why the Vaccarello A-lister clientele is made of the likes of Anja Rubik, Giselle Bundchen and Jennifer Lopez—his designs are bonafide sexy and sharp to boot.

For S/S’16, it was military-esque while veering towards a more urban front, with army green jackets smattered with gold hardware detailing and black leather trimmings. Pop culture nuances were spotted with tank dresses embellished with stud clusters of friend and muse Anja Rubik’s face portrait. Something that stood out was (shockingly) the more conservative pairing of classic blue jeans paired with crisp white shirts that had blue rose motifs. The rest were provocatively done, as per his signature aesthetic, with drape jersey dresses and black leather pieces held together by giant rings—for the unhibited girl who’s ultimately edgy and urban.
