As Dior prepares for its Cruise 2020 show in Marrakesh for the first time, the brand has revealed the reasoning behind its choice of location this season. The Moroccan city was chosen for its melting pot of cultures due to its strategic location between the Mediterranean, Europe and Africa, and over the century, it has become a place where “creative minds have come, met and work together” (Yves Saint Laurent regarded the city as his second home). On that note, the French fashion house is also introducing the theme of its collection, #DiorCommonGround, where they aim to highlight the similarities between cultures without combining or mixing them, and that despite all the differences, there are common values and traditions.
