From A-listers to animals to clothes, these are all the pretty little things that were featured from this season's campaigns

Blink, it’s Pre-Fall 2020! After what seemed like the longest (or shortest?) Spring/Summer 2020, we’re now entering July, and what better way to transition into the new season than by feasting our eyes on the latest fashion campaigns unveiled by major fashion houses.

Below, the six best Pre-Fall 2020 campaigns that we know you will appreciate:

Louis Vuitton

For Pre-Fall 2020, Louis Vuitton featured not one, but 23 of its muses in the campaign. From Sophie Turner to Léa Seydoux to Chloë Grace Moretz, the celebs take up the role of protagonists in horror and sci-fi novels, and dressed in looks from the collection that “tell their own tales”. Emblazoned on each cover, are taglines that are playful and punchy (Our favourite? “Guess Who? The past, that’s who!”) Scroll through to view them all—we honestly can’t pick a favourite.

Burberry

Two is definitely better than one, evidently showed by Burberry as the brand explores with the concept of duality this season. Chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci says in a statement, “I have always been drawn to the notion of duality and viewing things from two perspectives—bringing a depth and contrast to a person or a concept. This campaign explores this idea of mirroring, a theme which I established as a house code in the new Burberry identity.”

In the images shot by photographer Danko Steiner, the House’s favourite models Irina Shayk and Reece Nelson pose with their “twin” in a series of looks that are reimagined from its archives, amped up with vibrant hues for that pick-me-up.

Gucci

Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2020 campaign is here to remind us to enjoy the simple things in life. Titled ‘So Deer To Me’, the imagery was a high-fashion zoo, to say the least, with frogs, deers, hedgehogs, rabbits, ducks, and even skunks making a cute appearance. It’s aim? To evoke that playful sense of innocence that is very much appreciated at this moment.

When it comes to the outfits, "the pre-fall 2020 collection is the next chapter after the September show. It tells the same story about proportion, silhouette and, above all, the balance between shape and colour,” as explained by Alessandro Michele in a statement.

Saint Laurent

Having attended Saint Laurent’s shows during PFW for two seasons in a row, Blackpink Rosé is now officially the global face of the brand. Less than a week after the release of the K-pop group’s newest hit ‘How You Like That’, the French Maison took to Instagram to unveil the shots taken by David Sims, which feature the 23-year-old K-pop sensation in the brand’s signature leopard-print shirt and high-waisted trousers. In an accompanying film, Rosé can be seen swaying sensually to the music in a one-shoulder lace dress with thigh-high boots.

Prada

Three words: Painted in Prada. For Pre-Fall 2020, the Italian fashion house shines the spotlight on “the power of the hand and the impact of image; the intimacy of clothing; the power and positivity of colour” with a campaign that gave the looks a new actuality.

Shot by David Sims, the imagery features supermodel Freja Beha Erichsen posing against a bare black-and-white backdrop, letting the bright and printed ensembles—in hand-painted watercolours with digital artistry—take centre stage, blurring the line between photographic and painterly.
