Cue the music; It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It's December and the festive season is officially in full swing; every year, you can count on fashion brands to release their festive-themed campaigns in conjunction with their holiday collection, but what sets each label apart, is the creative direction that they take. From star-studded campaigns to quirky festive films, here are some of our favourites this year:

Creative director Johnny Coca says, "Mulberry is all about embracing heritage and tradition, and then flipping it in an unexpected way", and they definitely did this season. The British luxury label gave the classic Christmas carol—Twelve Days of Christmas—its own spin by using the indie-rock version by London band The Big Moon. Result? A playful and energetic film that also highlights their Christmas 2017 collection.

If there can be a cooler bunch, this will be it. Featuring Les Twins—dancers Laurent and Larry Nicolas Bourgeois (who recently won the World of Dance competition), and up-and-coming American singer Kacy Hill, the video is all about capturing the festive fun and the spirit of giving, pulled together with a too-cool-for-school vibe.

Kate Spade New York

Kate Spade New York has been rolling out a series of fun festive videos each year, and for this Holiday 2017 season, the brand has tapped Anna Faris and Rosie Perez to star in its campaign. Centering around a classic holiday mix-up, the film follows their trip to pick up a pre-ordered gift basket from the iconic Upper West Side market in New York—Zabar's.

Starring Nicki Minaj, Jesse Williams and John Turturro, H&M opted to go down a fantasy route this year with a campaign that tells the story of a heroic girl who saved the holidays from Santa Claus' evil brother. Watch as Nicki Minaj transforms into a fairy named Wisest Thingy. Most of the pieces spotted in the film are available in stores and online now.

Prada is launching not one, but four short films this holiday season, and the first half of the series will be of The Postman's Dreams 2 (featuring its iconic Prada Galleria bag), while the second half will be of The Postman's Gifts (focused on its accessories collection). Split into four episodes, the first two episodes of The Postman's Dreams 2 have already been released, and Elijah Wood and Emma Roberts are the main stars of the campaign.
