Samsung and Montblanc get inked

In celebration of the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note5, Montblanc has released a line of smartphone covers made from artisanal tanned leather. Only 100 pieces for each device were made, and each piece has been individually hand-tattoed with Montblanc ink by Mo Coppoletta of The Family Business Tattoo Parlour in London. Coppoletta is no stranger to working with luxury brands, having designed prints for Liberty Art Fabrics as well as collaborating with watchmaker Romain Jerome.

The hot air balloon design for Montblanc and Samsung was inspired by the pioneering spirit of Montblanc’s founders, who travelled far and wide to learn new techniques in order to perfect their craft in creating the most luxurious writing instruments. The covers will be previewed at the IFA in Berlin from 4-8 September and will be available online on selected Samsung channels as well as on Montblanc.com from September 2015.
