Take centre stage with Giuseppe Zanotti Design AW16
This season’s collection will turn heads on the dance floor and beyond
For Autumn/Winter 2016, Giuseppe Zanotti draws inspiration from the world's most iconic nightspots, Le Palace Club de Paris and New York's Dancerteria. Driven by the dynamic and youthful sophistication of these popular locales, the new collection ultimately spells refined individualism. "With this collection I wanted to express that feeling of freedom," Zanotti explains. "The rush you get from putting something on and knowing it perfectly articulates who you are in that moment."
Bold and eclectic, this season's lineup features elegantly detailed stilettos and dazzling heels. From artfully-placed crystals across the straps of cutout suede heels to brightly-coloured strips of sequins on open-toe booties and allover glitter effect on platform sandals, the Italian designer's renowned couture-like embellishments reach new heights.
Luckily for our feet, the collection's sneakers are party appropriate. Featuring low-top and mid-top styles, the flat shoes boast gold accents and zipper details. Designed with a much lighter sole, the sneakers exude sexy playfulness without compromising on comfort. "Fashion today is about total self-expression," says Zanotti. "A woman can slip on a pair of embellished cage heels one night and a pair of streamlined, lightweight sneakers the next day. The beauty of modern luxury is the absence of rules."
