Spot something? Or rather the lack of a certain position? Yes, there is no Deputy Prime Minister. According to Muhyiddin: “With the senior ministers, there is no need to appoint a deputy prime minister for the time being”. Senior members include Mohamed Azmin Ali (International Trade and Industry), Ismail Sabri Yaakob (Defence), Fadillah Yusof (Works), and Mohd Radzi Md Jidin (Education).

In addition, CIMB CEO Tengku Zafrul is appointed senator to helm the Finance Ministry portfolio. Another thing to note is that there is a total of nine women in the new Cabinet (same as the previous Cabinet). Fun fact: This is the largest cabinet to date, with 31 ministers and 38 deputies.

The swearing in ceremony for all the members will take place on 10 March 2020 with the presence of the King at 3pm in Putrajaya.
