Get lost in Mac Ayres’ soulful R&B jams when the talented singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer takes over The Bee stage for an intimate showcase. Opening for him that evening are local rising stars Bil Musa and Lunadira.

5 & 6 March (Tues & Sat), WVC Live: Give Thy Ear @ Lit Books

Imagine William Shakespeare’s poignant poetry translated into jazz—that is what WVC Jazz Ensemble seeks to deliver in this intimate session of original compositions and improvisation, with vocals by Aaron Teoh (who was recently casted in the The King & I‘s UK tour production) and narration by Lim Soon Heng. There will also be a rendition of Duke Ellington’s ‘Such Sweet Thunder’, a piece based on a line from A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

7 March (Thurs), Masego @ The Bee, Publika

You know you’ve got it going when you have a sound that is distinctively you in this age of oversaturation. Haven’t had a taste of TrapHouseJazz? Then Masego’s show is the place to be this Thursday. Rapper Zamaera will kick off the evening with her hard-hitting rhymes.

Take a step back in time with The Shanghai Sisters as the harmonious trio serenade you with the golden tunes of Old Shanghai, Grand Malaya and Romantic Hollywood. They will be accompanied by the wonderful WVC Jazz Ensemble.

13 March (Wed), Undercurrent @ The Bee, Publika

Breaking Music collabs with The Bee and Vektor Studios to bring together a selection of local musicians across different genres to give you a diverse music experience like no other. Featured artists of the night are singer-songwriter Talitha., indie band Lost Spaces, new act God Complex, soul quartet Crinkle Cut and indie rock group Alien Lipstick Fire.

See out March with the powerful, soulful vocals of Aisyah Aziz. The Singaporean-born singer will be showcasing a mixture of her own hits and reworked covers in the intimate setting of Bobo’s piano lounge.
