Alright, Blinks, the day you’ve been waiting for has finally arrived! Blackpink released their first Korean-language studio album—titled The Album—on 2 October 2020 to massive fanfare. Released through YG Entertainment and Interscope, The Album consists of eight tracks, including ‘How You Like That’, ‘Ice Cream’ with Selena Gomez, ‘Bet You Wanna’ with Cardi B, and latest single ‘Lovesick Girls’.
In addition to Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé, the new album also features a plethora of credits, such as Ryan Tedder, David Guetta, Løren, Ariana Grande, Victoria Monet, Teddy, and R.Tee. They worked on tracks like ‘Pretty Savage‘, ‘Crazy Over You’, and ‘Love To Hate Me’. The Blackpink members themselves participated in the writing and production of the album, especially on latest single ‘Lovesick Girls’.
You don’t even have to be a fan of Blackpink to love their songs. Prior to the album release, tracks such as ‘How You Like That’ and ‘Ice Cream’ have collectively garnered more than 300 million streams on Spotify.
