Good Vibes returns with CL and Jackson Wang headlining the Weekender festival

Festival-goers and music buffs, get ready to party as Future Sound Asia—the team that brought us Malaysia’s premier music festival, Good Vibes Festival—is back with another exciting music-filled weekend this year! Dubbed the Good Vibes Weekender, the two-day festival will take place on 23 and 24 September 2022 at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon with a stellar lineup of international and local artistes.

Headlining the inaugural festival are K-pop star CL (of girl group 2NE1 fame) on the first day and bilingual Chinese pop sensation Jackson Wang on the second day. Malaysia’s top rapper Joe Flizzow—who has made a name for himself as a producer, songwriter, and entrepreneur—will also be performing his best hits on day one.

Other performances to look forward to include British alternative singer-songwriter Beabadoobee, UK pop duo Oh Wonder, UK DJ duo Snakehips, Los Angeles-based singer Shallou, and American electronic musician Surf Mesa (AKA Powell Agguire).

Among the homegrown acts to show up for and #SupportLocal are girl group Dolla, French-Malaysian hip-hop star SonaOne, Shah Alam-based indie disco pop outfit Late Night Frequency, KL-ite Yonnyboii, up-and-coming singer NYK, and many more.

“We’ve always wanted to create a festival for music lovers to share the good times here in the city, and with the restart of live events, we finally have a chance to do so! Good Vibes has always been ahead of the curve for music trends, and with more Asian acts making waves with a bigger audience, we would also like the inaugural Good Vibes Weekender to reflect that,” says Wan Alman, Head of Entertainment at Future Sound Asia.
