What if Wes Anderson made S’mores? It might look something like this

What do Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Michael Bay and Alfonso Cuarón have in common? They are all successful filmmakers in their own rights, that’s for sure, albeit with very different visual styles—which is what makes David Ma‘s new YouTube series #FoodFilms so brilliant.

In #FoodFilms, Ma reimagines recipe videos in the style of famous directors. Ever wondered what it would be like if the likes of Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino made food videos? Ma delivers the goods, spot-on and pretty darn visually pleasing at that.

Here, he nails Anderson’s knack for symmetry and whimsy in this S’mores-making video:

Turning spaghetti and meatballs into a bloody, gory mess as one would imagine Tarantino to do:

It won’t be Michael Bay-inspired without a whole lot of action and explosions—even when making waffles:

Putting Alfonso Cuarón’s signature long takes into mesmerising use:

Needless to say, we can’t wait to see what other directors David Ma will take on next.
