The Biggest Movie Trailers That Premiered During Super Bowl LX
Trailer galore
While sports fans were looking forward to Super Bowl LX to witness the showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots, others were tuning in for an entirely different reason. Over the past decade, the Super Bowl has become a hotspot for studios and streaming platforms to bank on the millions of eyeballs on the event, offering exclusive first looks and sneak peeks at the biggest upcoming movies of the year.
Ahead, we compile the most exciting trailer and teaser drops that premiered during Super Bowl LX.
The Mandalorian And Grogu
Legendary actor Sam Elliott lends his voice to narrate an Old West-inspired trailer in a galaxy far, far away. In it, the fan-favourite pair are steering a group of tauntauns through a snow blizzard, with Grogu using his force powers to take over driving duties. The Mandalorian and Grogu film premieres on 22 May 2026.
Disclosure Day
When the first teaser for Steven Spielberg’s upcoming alien thriller dropped a month ago, everyone held their breath. Today, the audience at Super Bowl LX was treated to a second look at Disclosure Day, where we see more of the action in an otherwise still mysterious plot. Catch Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colman Domingo, and Colin Firth as they discover their world is about to come into contact with extraterrestrial life. All will be revealed on 12 June 2026.
Scream 7
With the slasher flick arriving in theatres in just a couple of weeks, the newly unveiled trailer of Scream 7 has everyone geared up to return to Woodsboro. The seventh instalment will focus on Sydney’s daughter as Ghostface comes back with a vengeance for blood like never before. Scream 7 takes a stab at the box office on 27 February 2026.
Project Hail Mary
Director duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s sci-fi epic had an almost three-minute spot during the Super Bowl Halftime, giving audiences a full cut of the Ryan Gosling-led sci-fi epic. Following the adventure of a science teacher in space with a mission to save their dying sun, he meets an alien made of rocks and forms an unlikely friendship. Catch Project Hail Mary when it premieres on 20 March 2026.
Supergirl
While Marvel and Warner Bros. were noticeably absent from this year’s Super Bowl, DC came in guns blazing with a sneak peek at Supergirl for the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet in honour of the film’s playful furry companion, Krypto the Superdog. The 47-second trailer puts a spotlight on the superpowered pup on Krypton and gives a glimpse at the film’s highly anticipated action sequences. Supergirl flies into theatres on 26 June 2026.
The Adventures Of Cliff Booth
While some film lovers could predict certain trailers to drop, no one would have expected Netflix to release a surprise teaser trailer for The Adventures of Cliff Booth. Brad Pitt reprises his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood for David Fincher’s follow-up to Quentin Tarantino’s Western comedy. Not much is known about the film or when audiences can expect it, but the brief look has already stirred up much interest for the feature.
Hoppers
For fans of animation, there are two Disney-Pixar releases to look forward to this year. Hoppers is the first to arrive in theatres on 6 March, and features a new original and creative universe where scientists discover a way to transform human consciousness into robotic animals (think beavers, snakes, birds, and the like) and use this technology to uncover mysteries of the animal world.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
In 2023, The Super Mario Bros. Movie garnered over $1 billion. This year, Universal Pictures is planning to replicate the success with another animated adaptation of the beloved IP. Titled The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Yoshi and Toad embark on an adventure to rescue Baby Mario and Baby Luigi from T. rex. Not much else is shown, so fans should mark their calendars for 1 April 2026 to see what else they get up to!
Minions & Monsters
Universal Pictures took up another spot at the Super Bowl LX by unveiling the full trailer of the third Minions instalment. In Minions & Monsters, everyone’s favourite overalls-wearing yellow menaces are back with their shenanigans as they take on everything from mummies, bunnies, and a mini-Cthulhu. Watch them get up to no good in theatres on 1 July 2026.
